UIHC Board Members

2017-2018 Board Members

Your board members were elected/re-elected in May 2017 and will serve two annual terms in the below role.  I've provided just a touch of information regarding their responsibilities if you are interested and hope you'll find it helpful in seeking out the right person with any inquiries you might have and/or if you are entertaining becoming a future board member.

Board Positions for Nomination
The board is also looking to fill our upcoming open board positions.  We need nominees for the following board positions:

Vice President - High School

Vice President - Registrar

Treasurer

The current board members are approaching their term limits and the positions will need to be filled with new members by the end of this season.  As these positions require some education, it would be great to get people on board this year so they can shadow the current board members.  Anyone interested in filling one of these roles should contact Jim Kulp as soon as possible.

President - Jim Kulp

The president is responsible for the overall direction of the club.  He guides the board in decision making around budget, ice slots and practice cadence, conduct, charitable activities, community events, and league engagement.

Registrar - Rich Hart

The registrar is focused on the player numbers.  He oversees incoming and outgoing players to properly forecast number of teams and team size, which then translates into the oh so precious ice slots and practice time.  He also interacts directly with the league to ensure our teams are ranked properly for competitive but fun games.

Vice President High School - Dave Impagliazzo

The vice president of high school is focused on the high school teams, both boys and girls.  He engages with the league to ensure we understand the rules and he coordinates coaching for the respective teams as well as budgeting activities with the league to cover our referees, scorekeepers, and game ice time.

Vice President Middle School - Anne Marie Pizzie

The vice president of middle school is focused on the middle school teams, both blue and gold (girls are typically interspersed at the middle school level).  He engages with the league to ensure we understand the rules and he coordinates coaching for the respective teams as well as budgeting activities with the league to cover our referees, scorekeepers, and game ice time.  He also develops and executes on the strategy for things like spirit wear and other fundraisers.

Treasurer - John McKenna

The role of Treasurer includes setting appropriate financial policies and controls for the Club, manging budgets and projections as well as contributing to the strategic direction of UIHC as part of the Board.  John brings significant leadershiop experience in finance and operations to the Board from his lengthy international finance career.  Originally from Niagara Falls, Canada, he is also a long-time player, coach and hockey enthusiast and can often be seen at the rinks watching games or playing himself.

Correspondent Secretary - Jenny Brucker

The correspondent secretary will be your primary point of contact throughout the season.  She'll be keeping you up to date with timely emails around things like registration, All Stars, and end of the year team parties.  Any critical board level information such as changes to the practice schedule and/or evaluations will be provided by the correspondent secretary.

Recording Secretary - Greg Masters

The recording secretary is essentially performing the administrative tasks that keep a board together and able to make great decisions.  He'll be keeping notes from board and assembly meetings, providing content for the website, and maintaining a calendar of events so that we and you as parents have enough time to perform the required activities (i.e. registration).
